The latest on the Independent News & Media financial negotiations, as reported by the Irish Times:
“Bondholders in Independent News & Media (IN&M) are negotiating with the company on the resolution of an overdue €200 million note on the basis that key investor Denis O’Brien will not sign up to current proposals.”
in an interview with the Irish Sunday Times, O’Brien said that it was possible IN&M might go into bankruptcy protection.

Financial Times and the Times are now available as e-newspapers on Amazon’s Kindle.
The partnership means electronic and automatically updated editions of the papers will now be accessible via the Kindle.
Editions of the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Le Monde and the Irish Times are also available on the device.
Earlier this year the
US Tribune Co. launched a magazine specially designed for the e-reader.

The Irish Times looks set to integrate its online operations with its main newspaper in an attempt to create the country’s first 24-hour newspaper.
