Twitter Development Group: Spammy Twitter accounts to get the chop

Twitter will remove accounts of users who have violated its terms of service as throw a heap of spam through the system.
The previous policy was to freeze those accounts – now they will be removed – say developers on this thread from their Twitter Development Talk Google group.
