A citizen journalism website dedicated to coverage of conflict zones has launched.

iConflict, which aims to increase awareness of international crises, will host text articles, blog posts and images from contributors.

Users will also be able to submit video packages, raw footage of an event, or embed video clips from other websites.

News hotspots will also be highlighted on a world map feature – a tool for users to track both news events and how they are being covered.
