Tip of the day from Journalism.co.uk: slick searching with Google’s ‘inanchor’ operator

May 16th, 2008 Posted by John Thompson in Search, Top tips for journalists, google

Slick searching: Use Google’s ‘inanchor’ operator to search only within the text that links to another page. It’s a great way to find leads with unusual search terms. Use it like this inanchor:plesiosaur or like this for a phrase or name inanchor:”loch ness monster”. Tipster: Colin Meek
