Ed Oldfield, a journalist with 25 years of experience in regional newspapers, has launched training website beajournalist.com – a site aimed at those taking their first steps in the media industry.
The site offers guides to training courses in the UK, details of industry training schemes, as well as the latest training news.

Thanks for the mention and the link. The site address is http://www.beajournalist.co.uk or ww.beajournalist.talktalk.net. Both links will take you there. I wanted to create an independent portal introducing people to a career in journalism, as well as catering for trainees and students. My big hope is that forums take off, so that people can give feedback on their experiences on courses and work experience, helping those that come after them and maybe improving things for everyone – including raising standards within the industry. It’s a big hope, and it relies on people taking time out to contribute in a meaningful way. And that will only happen if you spread the word. So thanks for your help. Ed Oldfield
