NYTimes.com playing catch up

As we reported yesterday The New York Times has ended its subscription service, TimesSelect.
But, as Poynter contributor Peter Zollman writes, not everyone at NYTimes.com is up to speed with the decision:
NYT: Left Hand, Meet Right Hand
A brief postscript to my earlier item: Apparently the New York Times hasn’t updated its ad server system yet. They just offered me a “no-risk 14-day free trial” on Times Select, which goes defunct tomorrow. I guess they won’t have to offer pro-rated rebates on those subscriptions.
