There have been a number of useful blog posts circulating the web recently, focused on advice for those in editor positions on best practice for leading a newsroom.

A couple of recent ones include Steve Buttry’s Advice for Editors posts, which are aimed at those working for Digital First Media but are helpfully published on Steve’s blog the Buttry Diary (Steve is digital transformation editor for Digital First Media) – the most recent is on how to “deal firmly with staff problems”, and secondly a post on Poynter by Butch Ward on the need for newsroom leaders to “invest more time developing their staff”.
