		<description>While I certainly wouldn&#039;t dispute the public interest nor the graft of the hacks in the bunker, Woodward and Bernstein this was not.  To begin with, The Telegraph gained access not through shoe leather or hard work, but because one editor was smart enough to know what he was looking at ... and, crucially, had the ability to pay for it.  That&#039;s hardly investigation - in fact it&#039;s hardly journalism.
Also please let&#039;s not overstate the way that the story &#039;has reverberated all the way around the world&#039;.  It has made a few stories but this is page 10 stuff in the New York Times; British politics still aren&#039;t of much interest outside Britain even if newspaper editors wish them so.</description>
