		<description>The introduction of web 2.0 has changed the face of journalism, not to mention the impact and pressures of the economy. The article is great in the sense that it highlights how journalists need to adapt to the changing landscape - but it&#039;s critical - when they&#039;re joining the conversation, be sure to engage. I&#039;ve noticed with Twitter, they set it up and continue to use Twitter as a platform to push their messages out. Bad mistake. You will quickly lose your followers and be un-interesting if all you&#039;re doing is pushing out your latest article, news program, etc. The whole point is to participate and engage with your readers. This is a great way to build relationships and loyalty. Another think and I think @deljones of USA Today does a great job is actively poll your users and integrate that into your piece. A lot of times I see journalists jumping on the latest bandwagon and just reiterating things we already know. Take the next step (be innovative) and bring something vastly different that takes us to a new level of learning.
