CBS creates mobile alert system for hurricanes

CBS has launched its own ‘mobile hurricane center’ to bring news updates and information on hurricanes and thunderstorms to mobile users.
The section of CBS’ mobile website features stats on hurricane positions, projected storm paths and the latest news on storm category ratings, a report from FierceWireless said.
Users can filter the information to their area by submitting their zip code as they enter the hurricane site.
