Crain’s signs up more than 4,000 to daily news alert

Business title Crain’s Manchester Business now has 4,169 subscribers to its daily news alert service, according to a press release.
The service’s success has been brought about by word-of-mouth and promotion through the website and newspaper alone.
The alerts, says publisher Arthur Porter, are just one element of the Crain’s breaking news strategy:
“Crain’s is all about breaking news and providing valuable information that can help companies grow their business. We are not just a weekly paper. We are a constantly updated news and information source and want to be the first place people read or hear about a local business story, be it in print or online.”
