They've deffo worked on things, but I just don't see how they can compete for the depth of the BBC Global News podcast. I've listened to both daily for a year or more and the BBC is so far ahead for global coverage. Would be great of the Guardian can catch up - it's certainly a fairly slick production - but it's the global content I'm after and I just don't hear the depth at the moment. Anyway, can a national newspaper realistically compete for global depth with the BBC? Personally, I'm just not interested in UK national news stories and that seem to form a large part of this new podcast. I think the new Guardian offering os pretty good.
