Telegraph wins top AOP award; Guardian wins three others

STORY ABOUT AWARDS AND FULL LIST OF WINNERS HERE:

Daily Telegraph should be celebrating, as blogger Shane Richmond, reports that the Telegraph Media Group was named online publisher of the year at last night’s Association of Online Publishers awards ceremony.

Elsewhere MediaGuardian celebrates scooping three awards, including best podcast, eventually confirming TMG’s victory (albeit in the seventh par as Richmond points out):

Telegraph.co.uk, which was nominated in 12 categories, took one award, scooping the best consumer publisher prize for “the biggest, boldest attempt yet to re-engineer its complete organisation”.

Success also for The Sun, Trinity Mirror’s Gazette Live and Channel 4, who, according to these reports, also went away with prizes.
